Maybe drop the props off to push it, that way you won't feck the gearboxes up further! Definitely sounds like a gearbox/clutch problem ...

Have you been in any muddy water lately, you know, like needing winching out of muddy water that was over your huuuge tyres? It does sound like silt and ****e has got in .. though I guess it could also be the diffs ..

clutch drive plate has rusted to the input shaft if you can get the motor to start in gear try driveing it around in reverse till it warms up should fry off

cant start it starter motor is fooked again would have to tow it and dont know if its a good idea in its current condition

It sounds fooked anyway so tow starting it isn't really going to improve/make matters worse is it?
Jacking one wheel up should be enough to take the pressure off the driveline and allow you to get it out of gear or shift the transfer box

dont try and tow start if the clutch aint free.... youll end up in the boot of whatevers towing if you aint careful

are you sure the starter is broken? if it is the clutch stuck and its in gear and the brakes on the engine wont turn

i would jack a wheel up and try start it

when you parked it up did you leave the handbrake on anorl?

ok update peeps.got home from work a bit earlier
removed timing case plug and loads of muddy water came out,transfer box drain plug removed that carefully but it was just thick ep90 in there,couldnt remove the gearbox wading plug as it was rounded off even trying to knock it round it wouldnt budge


got mrs to hold clutch down and pull on gearstick ,we had a disco in front of mine placed a scaffold pole between both bumpers and pushed mine back and eventually it released itself
got it started with a tug once started the radiator sprung its leak again so the radseal hasnt worked.

whilst idleing the gearbox is spilling out muddy water from somewhere near the top it runs down the side and drips from bottom so im assuming the gearbox is full of muddy water?
the brake pedal now seems to go really soft and u have to pump it a couple of times to get the brakes back
the gearstick and transfer box linkages need a bit more freeing up but they do work.
so jobs to do..
drain n change gearbox oil i presume?
fix leaky rad
both back hub seals may have gone as theres ep90 leaked out both sides but the axle may have taken on water and it forced out the ep90?
brakes could be master cylinder?pads are all brand new

so any thoughts guys n gals?..atleast it aint terminal as first thought so i need to fix it on a shoestring budget

my thoughts...

Check axle breathers aren't blocked and the pressure is blowing oil out, also check it for water as it might have sucked in.

jbweld/epoxy metal for the rad leak

if the gearbox oil looks alright and there is no water on the bottom (oil floats on water) then you might have got away with it.

Check stuff the day after next time

clamp the flexis and try the brakes to test which bits are knackered. I'm wondering if somehow water got in the fluid... might be worth a flush.

mite be worth washing out timing case with clean water. that mud wont to it any good.
yu really need to get that bell housing drain plug out. drilling it or summat to see what ****e is in there (or not).
i wud also advice flushing anything that has contaminated oil. its not the water, its the grinding paste from Salisbury.

The gear linkages i can see after removing the tunnel console theres a thick layer of clay there

get that pressure washer in there - get rid of as much crud as possible from underneath, drivers side. (side of difflock)
