Links have started to be placed and adverts are in the making. LandyZone.co.uk is finally with us..... Although still in a state of test for the rest of April, we have opened our doors. Please take a look around and if you find any problems let me know by filling in this form here or posting in the TEST area which will be closed and deleted at the end of April. OK, landyzone is now back to the standard software and has been fully updated to the latest version of vbulletin. There are still a few bugs to iron out and the gallery/forsale/reviews section wont be updated for another few days or so. Sorry about the time taken to get us back! :)

we at admin control center are currently tidying up LZ, with a view to upgrading stuff. so can yer not stick 'for sale' ads in the general forum sections. there is a 'for sale ' section so can y'all use it?

You may have noticed some downtime of the forum in the last few weeks. This is due to the large amount of traffic the forum is now getting. I have been tweaking the server but at the end of the day it's time for new hardware. I've ordered a new server which should be available this weekend and should solve the downtime problems and increase the speed of the site. Its an uber super server with octoprocs and gigabananas and scsi's and flashy lights. Only problem is it costs a bloody fortune. I'm not one to normally beg, but most any forum(especially big ones) usually have a donation section so users can help to pay for the costs involved in keeping us running. We've got thousands of visitors to this site every day and if only a few...

Well here we go again. Once again i shal try to do the right thing, i'm really quite touched by the ammount of support a lot of you have for yella. Even though you all have your own oppinion about whats happened, so do I. I have spoken to yella this morning and i think we both know where we stand. I'm not about to pour it out over the forums however. I realise i probably made a pretty rash decission yesterday but when things are going a bit mad it's hard to see all the facts. What i saw ****ed me off a little and i'm now thinking i should have put the swear filter on right from the start. Shame on me for thinking the forum could go on without it. Thought it was about time i made a post about all the recent goings on with language etc. As i'm sure everyone is aware, especialy regulars, at Landyzone we have taken a different approach to bad language than other LR forums. Up until recently i think it's gone pretty well. Since we've had some new moderators things seem to have changed a little, whether that is just a coincidence or not i'm not sure. Either way there has only ever been one guide line, and that has been to keep harsh language off the main forums. (if anyone wishes to know what they are PM, don't use this as an excuse to use them). Something that you don't mind might easily offend others. My feeling now, is that people are beginning to take the **** a little to see how...

It's been a while, but I've finally gotten time to sort out the gallery, for sale and reviews section coming soon...

Over the last couple of days I have upgraded all the software that runs this site. I'm still not finished yet and there will be bugs... If you have any problems posting in the forums then you may have to do a hard refresh. To do this hold down your CTRL key and press F5. The gallery/reviews/classifieds sections are not complete yet, but should be finished today.

I've just uploaded the photos from today's funday at Briercliffe near Burnley.. It was another good day out and lots of fun was had by all by the looks of it! I have added a new section to the site for product reviews. This is for us all to share our experience with various land rover/4x4 accessories. This section will take quite a while to build up, but everyone can help! Anyone can 'upload' a new product, and anyone can review that product once it has been uploaded. You do not need to own the product to upload it but if you review the product then please do so only if you have actual experience. We want all products to have at least one matching photograph, so please remember that before uploading. Please let me know if you think the categories could be arranged better or added to, it's been quite a bit of work to get it all going so my head is a bit fuzzy now! :) Just click...

After several requests we now have a classified advert section for members to use to sell or buy land rovers or land rover products. Posting for sale or wanted ads is totally free for private users. Commercial users are asked to link back to us from there own website before they use our classified section. (better than having to pay though!:)) The only thing in this section now is a test DiscoIII advert just as an example. Only adverts with pictures are displayed on the featured adverts display, you are advised to always use a photo, but this is not compulsory. Please feel free to use this system! At the moment all registered users are free to post adverts, this may change if things do not work out.

The photo gallery has had a bit of a refurb! It's looking much better now and a lot of the bugs have finally been ironed out!

I have integrated the alt.fan.landrover usenet newsgroup into LandyZone. This gives us access to even more land rover information and more people to interact with. If you make a post in that section then it will be sent out into the newsgroup. Please read the announcement in the alt.fan.landrover forum for more information. You have to have over 10 posts to be able to post a message into that section, this is due to posts being sent all over the world and not just remaining on our server :) we don't want annoying people to abuse the newsgroup and tarnish the landyzone name, do we! :)
