Hi, Just joined. Based in Christchurch NZ, owner of a 2002 V8 D2, mainly use it to get my jetboat in and out of the water and the odd day out on back roads. I thought my days under the bonnet of a vehicle were over but here I am and the D2 certainly gives me lots of opportunity.

Hi to all, I’m a new member on here and as the name suggests I’m located in Almeria, Southern Spain. Five different R.R. over the years (first one a 1977 model…..with no power steering if I remember right). I’ve bought a cheap L322 as a project out here (groan) and I need a little help with a couple of issues. I’ll search the forums first! Thanks.
I think my Head Gasket has blown. Milky grey sludge under the oil filler cap and coolant has completely disappeared, dipstick looked very odd and running very hot. I'm not remotely confident in my ability to resolve this as a keen to learn but low skilled DIY'er. How much money (as a ballpark), am I likely to need to borrow off the wife (reduce the cost her birthday present by), for a garage to do the work?

Cost? The head needs to be pulled. Is the head is warped. Y/N - How bad? - Can it be skimmed, OR will you need a new head. If its in spec (ref overhaul manual online, google it, you will see how easy this is) - DIY look at the overhaul manual to see - The ballpark for a garage would be wide about c£500 to maybe c£1500 - Depends on the head. DIY c£40 gasket and bolts assuming head OK

Think you will be lucky to get it done for £500 .I would think £1200 to £1500 Very easy to do your self.and you feel good in your self when it done and running.take your time weekend too take them off have them skimmed in the week then put back on weekend after go for it
Hi all, new boy looking for some advice recommendations. My LT230 transfer box 3rd diff has more play in it than anything. Looking for either someone to refurbish or a good exchange unit at a sensible price. Am in Wales but please don't hold that against me I am happy to travel to foreign lands for a solution.
Brand new in the box chrome side steps with fittings.. £150 Good if you want style but not for off road

How can I find the bhp of my engine it doesn’t seem to be in the log book , I’m wanting the engine remapped
I have recently purchased a 2017 Discovery Sport. It has a wobble on the rear whilst driving, it feels like the axle is going from side to side. The front feels ok, the tyres on the front are summer, the rears are all season M+S. All four tyres are Pirelli Scorpions, all pressures are good.
So does anyone have an answer or idea as to what is wrong. Sorry if this problem has been answered before

I've done it again, I've bought a late 2006 td6 vogue se, genuine 100k 2 owners, for a bag of sand, it does however have a strange EAS fault, I just want to ask the good folks on here if anyone knows what the input voltage should be for the EAS ECU, at the passenger side of the dash, it's says 14.3 volts with the engine running but I just wanted to check 👍👍

Hello, I seem to have some oil bubbling up through the last rocker cover bolt (see photo). I've ordered 3 new washers to fit but was wondering if there's a torque setting that I need to use when tightening the bolts back up? Any advice, as ever, gratefully received..

Both surfaces clean if especially if fitting metal washers. If you have soft rubber washers tighten till you see the rubber squash slightly. The rule for a rocker cover is to nip the nuts/bolts. Don't try to give them the death. Rocker covers easily distort. Hope this helps.
