    Water Pump Fitments

Hi All, I have an ex military 2.5 n/a diesel which I have fitted into my series 2A 109. The engine is all fitted in but hooking up the cooling system is being a pain. The Series radiator has smaller outlets than the engine so none of the original hoses are any use. I am going to change the top...

Tried warm but not hot. Something to try next. I'll stick it in the top of the kettle when the mrs is not about. Lol.

    2.5 na into series 2A

The bottom hose is being a pain too. The series hose obviously fits the rad fine but is just a tad too small to get onto the engine flange, even a bit of washing up liquid wouldn't persuade it on.

    2.5 na into series 2A

Hi, thank you for the replies and info. Greatly appreciated. The inlet on my thermostat housing is not straight up like in your photo's. mine is horizontal. As you look into the engine bay from the front, it sticks out to the right. I think I need to change the top part of the thermostat...

    2.5 na into series 2A

Hi, I have put a 2.5 na diesel into my series 2A. Does anyone know what top and bottom radiator hoses I should use ? I still have the original 2A radiator with straight connections on the rad. Do I need to change the thermostat housing top ? Any info greatly appreciated as I'm kind of stuck for...

    2.5 N/A into Series 2A

Thank you so much. I have ordered the pressure plate with the 'boss' in it and hopefully it won't be too long until I get it sorted. I believe I just need to cut the offside engine mount off and fabricate a new one to hold the 2.5 engine as it won't seem to fit on the standard mounts. Many...

    2.5 N/A into Series 2A

Hi Nitemare, thanks for jumping onboard. The clutch release arm and slave cylinder are definately on the drivers side. The pressure plate that came off the 2.25 petrol has 3 arms on it where the clutch release bearing sits. The pressure pate from the 2.5 diesel has multiple arms/fingers on...

    2.5 N/A into Series 2A

Thanks for the pictures. Can't think of any others I need, maybe just some close up's of the offside mount and bracket on the chassis would be good, thank you. Hi jamesmartin, I have got a 9.5" driven plate but wasn't sure if I had to use the Series 2 pressure plate/cover (which would mean...

    2.5 N/A into Series 2A

Hi, I am starting to fit a 2.5 n/a diesel into my Series 2A. The old petrol is Very tired. Having seen a few posts from the past, some people say to use the Series pressure plate, however this is different to the 2.5 n/a flywheel, i.e. it won't fit because of the 3 locating dowels on the...
