There has been an ongoing scam where people advertise Landys and other vehicles and suggest they will deliver it to you. No viewing and plenty of excuses as to why you can’t view the vehicle.
As they saying goes, if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.

Hi all, I am moving to Belgium from Ireland in a couple of weeks and have a box of mixed LR Spares (D1, D2, Freelander 1&2)I
f anyone wants to buy them as a job lot I will be donating the proceeds to the animal shelter that managed to rehome our two cats. I’m based in Kerry but just a 90 min...
I am living in Kerry, Ireland until mid May then moving to Belgium.

We have had to leave it at the Land Rover Garage as it is undriveable'- so in their official parkimg area. Charges are €35 per day and it has now been there over two years...with probably another year of legal procedures. We are not responsible for parking fees as the 'expert' has already...
...an update
Still ongoing with parking fees alone at €30,000+, yes, you read that correctly. Now going 'full-on' with it going to court. Fortunately the experts have all been in our favour so we should get all our legal fees back along with a hefty payout, FFKS, what a palaver, with us having...
Been sat in my Barn for the last few years since I swapped for continental lights and now I am without a Freelander. Postage from France and £30the pair - is that reasonable? PM if you are interested.
If all goes to plan I will buy something in Ireland and sell the TD5 (RHD) here in France - plenty of Hunters who want a 4x4 regardless of the wheel being in the wrong place ...
However, I'm not sure how having an Irish Plated vehicle would work if I chose to use it in France/Europe for maybe...
I have 'Air' and I don't notice any real 'luxury'. All I have noticed is when it fails it's a very bumpy ride home to get it fixed: sensors, fuse, airbags, pump, air lines, brass connector blocks. It's a bugger to tow when/if the damn thing fails.
:D We 'all' have issues ...
I understand fully where you are coming from. Writing some bull****e banter on a forum is never the best way to convey a message.
What I can relay is the last time I went to Ireland (last Autumn) even the English agent at the car hire company was telling me about...
There are no pitfalls in my original post :)
I don't have the same issues as you, it would seem. I don't 'feel' any sense of patriotism either way so I am not English, British or any 'ish' on the list. What I am is an old(er) geezer bimbling through life trying to keep his damn 'annoying piece...
Nope, that analogy still not working for me ;) However, using that particular analogy the French would probably take the cheese away and come back with the same cheese and present it as German, they are Irish after all :p. What I have learned in life is people are generally the same the world...
Can anyone from the island of Ireland(s) advise me on registration of vehicles to Eire? I have a French registered RHD Discovery td5 which I would like to take with me if we relocate over there ...
Is insurance comparable to mainland UK, and what is the second hand car market like over there ?
Pump is boxed and brand new - bought it as a spare 'just in case'. Also have a spare connection block.
Front propshaft is also second hand but in perfect working order.
Will be posting from France ... Unless you happen to be passing by. Send me a pm if interested.
As above - that is great link.
I've fixed a similar problem with mine in the past and have changed the pump, airbags and both sensors since I've had the Td5. Only thing I have changed my mind about is bags v springs .... I still have air bags but Springs would be less hassle in the long term.
