    Best snow chains

Thanks for the responses. I live in England but I am doing a road trip to St Petersburg and Moscow in the New Year so getting everything planned now. Thanks for the names - I will check out Rud, Weissenfels and Pewag SNOX. Much appreciated.

    Best snow chains

Hi - a quick question. Does anyone have any recommendations in terms of which snow chains to get for an L322? I see on Ebay there are cheap kits to fit any car based on the tyre size and then at the other end of the specturm, expensive Range Rover 'snow traction systems' which cost nearly £500...

Electrical gremlins - CD player and power steering

Sadly now the power steering has given up the ghost completely. As per my original post, it used to work when I turned the ignition off and on again, but now its doesn't correct itself and stays off. I've checked the PAS fluid and its still at a good level and clean, so sadly sounds as though...

    The New 2013 Range Rover

Yeah, I agree - I think its looks are still essentially that of a Range, but if this is a stepping stone to full-size Evoque styling that'll be disappointing. Would love to know a little more about the insides though. Maybe in 5-10 years we'll grow to love it ...

    power steering problems

I've got a similar issue to you mate. Often, when I first start her up, the power steering goes super-heavy. Typically, if I then turn her off and then turn the ignition again, its works fine. From previous advice, I've checked the PAS levels and its on the mark - without looking/ smelling burnt...

    The New 2013 Range Rover

I am a comparably new (and very happy) 2004 L322 owner. However, I thought it would be interesting to talk about the new 2013 Range. Let me be clear - I couldn't afford one if I sold everything I own ... and then put it on red or black and won - but perhaps in 10 years it'll be on my radar...

It's time to say goodbye to my P38 :-(

Not sure whether it's your cup of tea, but to 'approach' Range quality in a lower driving position at less money I'd consider a Jag XJ. I had a 1996 3.2 straight-six (after the missus trashed my previous 1999 4.0 V8) and it delivered surprisingly good consumption (35+) and performance. If you...

Electrical gremlins - CD player and power steering

PS - apologies, didn't mean to call the Range a "car".

Electrical gremlins - CD player and power steering

Thanks again for the advice. I ended up digging out my old ipod classic and bought an "Airplay" transmitter on Ebay for less than a fiver and then bought one of those magnet things so I can stick the ipod to my dash when its in use. It's amazingly good quality - have paid 10x that before and...

Electrical gremlins - CD player and power steering

Thanks for the warm welcome Saint.V8 - that's very helpful. I think for now I'll do the same as you and buy a transmitter rather than get too excited - a CD player certainly wasn't the reason I bought the truck! Thanks also on the power steering. I'll do a lock-to-lock and check the fluid in...

Electrical gremlins - CD player and power steering

Hi All - Finally, having wanted a Range since I was a school boy, at the ripe old age of 31 I have managed to save up and buy myself an 2004, L322 3.0 TD6 Vogue :). She's high mileage, but I intend to look after her until the grave. I'm new to the forum, so please forgive me for having not...
