My sensors emit a high pitched loud sound as soon as I put the car in reverse, it then is intermittent but frequent drowning out the standerd low beep, beep which is supposed to be there. Lucky I can switch them off to maintain sanity but it renders them unusable. any ideas?

Thanks Brian, was wondering how so much water could get in, too much for condensation. The carpet had already been removed (well partially trimmed) before I bought the vehicle. I will give this a go. Mind you could come in handy for transporting some guddled salmon or trout.

Mountings for propshaft bearings get worn mine is doing the same at low speed right hand but not left hand turns. My garage guy says it is the propshaft bearing mounting rubbers.

Mine works fine on my 2001 (51) plate 1.8i. Biggest drawback is I have to use it around once a week to reset the P0240 code I get repeatedly after installing a new exhaust and lambda sensor. Can't remember the name off hand it is in the glove box at the moment, but it was £25

Thanks, I think it was an after market and not OEM exhaust the whole job to do the exhaust and fit the sensor was just over £300 including catalyst. So that could be the problem, in which case I have to live with resetting frequently or shell out for the more expensive OEM parts.
