My 1.8i seems to have an intermittent fuel starvation or supply control problem. When running it sometimes jerks quite badly but does not do this all the time. The problem seems worse when you take your foot off the throttle. The other day I drove from home in Invergarry to Fort William with no problem. Filled up with fuel in Fort William and on driving home the car jerked spasmodically all the way to Invergarry (around 25 miles). Before you lay the blame at the fuel this is not the first time this has happened.
