    Do you have any other problems such as coolent loss or overheating, If so then you may have a slipped liner. Have you checked the cats because these are known to make a simular sound when they start to brake up.

    Are you thinking of putting a Y pipe in because if not you will power.These engines need some sort of balance pipe from the headers to run correctly.

    Britpart grey parabolics

    I have fitted some on my 11a and have the same problem. Nice to know that iam not the only one.Put a 350kg weight in back to preload the springs but it made no difference.

    5mb & 3mb

    5mb heads are metric and 3mb are imperial and are interchangeable but you will need the appropriate bolts for anything that bolts on to it, ie rocker shaft and maifolds. You will also need the bolt for the oill feed pipe to the head. Hope thats some help to you

    Matt or satin

    Hi there I sprayed my cellulose Nato Green using fast flash thinners and not the standard stuff. This is a matt paint but found using a good quality thinner gives it a slight satin finish. Still looks good 3 years later.

    Parabolic spring problem

    Yes they where already fitted when i bought it.I think these are made by British springs as they look the same as the one i fitted to Light weight a few years ago and these did and have not given me any problems. Thanks.

    Hi all Just fitted a pair of Britpart parabolic gray springs to the rear of my 11a truck cab and it now looks ridiculous because the rear end is about 6 inch too high.     Series 3 Cylinder heads...

    The main difference from a early one to a late one is that in or around 1980 they changed from imperial to metric fixings,but this will not stop you swapping them if they are different, just don't mix the nuts and bolts up and the banjo bolt that attach's the oil feed to the head.

    v8 clutch problems

    Hi all, I am having problems with my 1966 11a v8. Just replaced the gear box,presser plate, clutch plate and release bearing and now the clutch will not work. Its a 11a box with a 111 bell housing and clutch. Pulled it apart and noticed that the release bearing is shorter than the original one...
