Series 3 tel

you need to preload the springs some how before nipping the bolts up i am in middle of doing mine but i do not know how either anybody else got an idea

what is the gaps like on the front hangers?

where dya get um from?

had probs with mine on the front and was wondering where to get the next set from.

My bf sez...

"The spring hangers should be roughly at an angle of 45 degrees from the horizontal...he thinks if they are sitting vertically the springs are too short and this will make for a bumpy ride.

With the hanger angle at 45 degrees, the leaf springs are able to move up and down more easily with less rigidity in the hanger giving a smoother ride."

He thinks that is right...if anybody knows better he would like to be corrected!!! (And I am a girl and don't know anything:eek:)

I have fitted some on my 11a and have the same problem. Nice to know that iam not the only one.Put a 350kg weight in back to preload the springs but it made no difference.

I'd read the attached thread in full, get in touch with Britpart/Shop you bought them from asking for advice then once they tel you there is a problem with Britpart springs ask for your cash back and fit standard leafs.

Out of interest does anyone know where these [Britpart] springs are being made now?
