Just another thought / question... Would anybody on here know whether the Engine mounts might have been already moved through the fitting of the Ford Diesel? The 3.0 V6 states that the Engine mount relocation is the first job - so just wondering if the 2.5 DI Diesel required the same before...

Thanks Galladog, yeah I've put Engines in before, though some time back, did an 1800 into an MGB and a few Vauxhall Engine Swops so not beyond me. I've also welded, MIG welded a Motorbike Frame - so it's within my skill-set - I just wondered if there was some out of work Mechanic or privateer...

Thanks Galladog - I've done that and they emailed me a scan of the instructions for a £5 PayPal payment - bargain - they date from 1985! You are also right re Engine mounts, that's the first thing covered - re-weld re-locate Engine mounts... I've contacted Steve Parker and they don't do the...

So, Engine arrived today on a Pallet complete with Steve Parker conversion kit dated 1985. Block number seems to be Ford 722F6015BA - need to decode - been looking online but not sure of BHP or origin.... Would anyone know if the Engine mounts will still need moving, as my Landie already has...

ANSWER - SOLVED For Other Lightweight Owners In Case it helps... So spent another happy hour diagnosing and came to a solution... I went back to the stalk and took the steering cowling off. When I fitted the new S3 Light Stalk I connected Blue on the Stalk to the Blue on the 3 Pin Original...

The ones I bought and fitted Friday are 205 x 16 and yes standard profile they look much more in keeping with the Lightweight so a good swop in my mind. Front 2 are Semperit Hi Grip, back 2 are Kingpin Remoulds

Yep so I'm learning - they were never this pricey last time around - I've resorted to fitting standard lamps until I source... the lamps I got are OK but the surrounds no use without the correct Buckets and the Shroud.. jeez
