Dear All, I have been offered a lwb sIII with a sound 6 cylinder petrol engine & straight body work but a knackered chassis. I have access to a broken lwb sIII (for free) with a not too bad (well, repairable anyway) chassis but it originally had a (long since snaffled) 4 cyl diesel lump on it...

Thanks chaps/chicks. -The only reason I questioned it was beacause there are remnants of tape/adhesive on the underside of the bonnet, so I 'assumed' that there was originally something under there. -Top off & hot rubber for me it is then!

A previous owner has removed all the insulation from the underside of the bonnet of my S3 resulting in the bonnet getting really hot. My question is, will this be detrimental to carrying the spare wheel up front. -I don't want to find myself stuck out in the sticks with a par-melted or...
