hi there got some major headache with my p38 started off with key fob batt low message replaced seemed ok...then shortly after couple of days perhaps it would then only start using the eka code...(remote red light still seems to flash ok! just not doing anything) getting back to the starting...

hey dude had a similair problem with my ranger rover 4.6hse while towing a caravan... changed the radiator and viscous coupling and never had any more trouble, seems these are weak points on the cooling system hope this helps

Hi guys Thought I’d take this opportunity to thank every for there help…. towed caravan back today and no problems at all…. new rad and viscous coupling working a treat. Tem gauge sat @ the 12 o’clock position dint budge once :)

hi there every one well fitted new radiator and viscus fan this morning :D looks good so far filled coolant up, blew air in hose at header tank to clear air locks.. topped up coolant again ran motor for 15mins with cap of header tank replaced cap ran further 5 mins reving to 2000 rpm...

hi maddock part number PC01! what would that be? is the icon to do with the condensor fans!! will i be able to run them all the time cant seeit doing any harm?

ok going to give that a go with the condensing fans.. as I`ve never heard them running!! could be something to do with the fact that every now and again the open book with the (!) icon appears in the air conditiong dispaly? not really been bothering me but if its a factor in the overheating...

hi mmaddock did wonder bout those fans but thought the were for air condoitionin system? but they were not runnig either how could i get them to run would that make the difference thanks again

Hi there guys am looking at buying a rangerover 1996 4.6 hse this weekend and am abit concerned with some of the problems been reading about i.e. overheating? porous blocks!! Is there any way to tell if it is overheating say leaving it to idle for 15 mins or so? will the oil be emulsified...
