    Got it back today complete with new plumbing for ccoling system and a hefty bill to say the least. Smythe The gasket part no. is LVB000320 and apparently it is cheaper from Rover Dealers than Land Rover! Thanks for your input guys. Tony

    This one lasted to 64K so its not done bad considering. Popped in to garage today. He now has a TD4 in with a U/S head and other damaged cused by same. Estimate £2500!!!! and its only done 37K!!!

    I have spoken with the mechanic today. Before I could mention your comments guys, he suggested the new style head gasket and thermostat mod (moving to new position atfront of engine?) which gives some confidence considering he is not a Land Rover specialist!
