Hi does anybody know what this is? (the big pipe which comes out of the top of the rad and over the top of the alternator) .... only after a drive does this pipe pressurize. i know this because today i had the car on tick-over for about 30 mins and the pipe was hot but not pressurized...

just spent a few hours trying to sort it out, and it seems to work ok now. i left it running on idle for about 30mins, and then took it for a run to get it hot. the coolant didn't boil over, or overflow at all. i done a hot water test on the thermostat and it did seem to open, im not too sure...

take apart the door lock mechanism, then use a multi meter to test if all 3 switches work. one of my switches was stuck. so i prodded it around with the test probes and ive got mine sorted now. Paul
