Help lost drive on way to carfest…

Thanks miktdish Bathgate was our original departure point 😊. Got to over night hotel in Wigan and had a couple of hours sleep. Worked out its most likely the passenger side rear half shaft. Popped the centres off the wheels and the dust cap had been pushed off and mangled. Half shaft can...

Help lost drive on way to carfest…

Evening all After some help. Currently waiting for break down service just off M6 avoid 60 miles from Wigan (our Overnight stop). We lost drive after an intermittent screech which sounded axel related but was hoping to nurse it to Wigan and deal with in the morning without wife and kids in...

One dim head light driving me nuts!!

I’m saying it, I’m a bell end and it was simple fix. Bad earth on the passenger side. Turns out just cause you thing your radiator cowl is earthed doesn't mean it is. Fresh earth, cold hands and smug wife (she said wiring at some point but I thought it was a question rather then suggestion)...

One dim head light driving me nuts!!

Evening all Desperately need some help as I’m now frozen and lost the will. Bought new led head lights to replace the candles I currently drive with. Fitted and connected them up to find the passenger side is very dim and turns off when I put the full beam on. Swap them round and the same...

110 CSW Second Row Seat Mounts

I've just done something similar to you I think. Fitting new defender 2nd row seats into a 110 that had old school seat. I was doing a fair amount of work but got an new mid x member from yrm which has four upright brackets coming off it for the two bolts on each of the feat on the seats. The...

Reversing cameras (I know, but they're changing all the time)

L love the post and something I’m thinking about doing (not cause I need to for your reasons would just rather not bump anything, mainly my own kids). I’ve not really got to thinking about how to do it in too much detail but a lot of the cameras available come on an angled plinth for fitting...

    110 rear floor join.

They are great. Will use them again but bit far for me just to pop in. Not sure I’ll be doing the bulk head just now. Might look at it in a year or so. Just going to patch the footwells in situ just now. How’s yours coming along? Managed to get some paint on? Got all my parts painted...

    110 Fuel Tank replacemnt Confusion!

I did the same thing! Now got the right tank but for the life of me can I find any guidance on how to fit the rerun pipe or send unit to the tank. Anyone able to give some guidance? Return looks like it has bolts holding it in and have a washer and metal ring for the sender unit on the side...

    Rust Protection

I’ve just painted my chassis with coroless glass flake boat paint. You car pay for someone to do it or give the chassis a good wire brush and paint yourself. Goes on great and looks excellent. Might need two coats for the full 15 years in case of any missed bits on first pass. Going to wax oil...

    110 rear floor join.

Omg!! Yea I’m sitting a 2k at the mo but had been told it needed that on welding/ patching of the body alone. Was lucky it was a galv chassis already and bulkhead is just needing the foot wells done so I’ll just patch them. Been getting the parts from Yrm metals. Great stuff and good value. Most...

    110 rear floor join.

Yea think that might have been the vid. I’m the same as you having had a landy and parted with it this one is staying in the family and hope the kids will use it (that’s some 10 years away) one day. One thing to be aware of with the sealant. Depending what paint you may or may not be using...

    110 rear floor join.

Sounds like the path I’m going down. Did watch a vid where they masked the joints with tape and then put the sealer over. You could clearly see the seam sealer after tape was removed but it had nice crisp edges. What seam sealer are you using? Guess it’s the way we all do it, as in we’re going...

    110 rear floor join.

Yep butt up no over lap. Got plenty of left over Ali sheet having taken out the floor. Think I’ll do as you say and just lay a strip under and rivet it in. If site is working again I’ll mind and put up some photos. Sealed rivets, great idea. Trying to find a stealant that stays mailable just...

    110 rear floor join.

Yep I can’t spot weld so it’s going to have to be rivets. Not sure I’m up for making my own floor but the chequered plate must make it solid as a rock and yes does away with the joint issue of the T shape.

    110 rear floor join.

Thanks for the reply and for the update on the website. Floor is all out (together with everything that was under it..) new parts ready to go in. I have a new 2nd row floor and the upstand to the rear tub height. The floor from the upstand back has come in three parts. One rectangle that runs...

    110 rear floor join.

Evening all Long time since last post but long time no fender. Just got a new 110 (95 CSW 300tdi) and well into pulling her apart. So far I’ve stripped pretty much everything back from the front seats and getting ready to put new parts back in. Question that I can’t find the answer to (may be...
