hey all, forum looks a bit odd these days :o just a holding message, engines done but still on the stand- life just got in the way recently, will update more soon when Im fitting it. How is everyone? whos still about?

id agree with that, same engine more or less designed to run on 20w50 all those years ago so thin stuff not so great for them now especially with a lot of miles on them.

Ha ha guys, it's all still there, it's built now ( good job I used bearing guard with this timescale) just need to sort the ancillaries. Could use an early alternator if anyone's got one. It's all safely in the purpose built garage wrapped up- just too busy with people to get near it atm- life eh

keep getting dirt in the carbs, gonna fit some extra filters but is there any way to drain the bowls without removing the carbs? theres not much room! they are hif6 btw

nah its me man! I got the kit off ebay from a 70s car prototype from an a/c company- brand new its a rotary type pump. Ill take some pics soon but basically a bigger version of that silver bracket takes the alt and the comp although it seems I can mount it to the head only which I dont like or...

its gotta have it and id rather fit it now while the engines out

Plenty of progress not many pics yet, sorting the ancillary brackets and belt runs and the AIRCON brackets in particular as it's all custom and then just the carb and she's done

simonbbc (best british classics) was selling rebuilt ones? or just gaybay in general
