Everything JLR SDD related (feel free to add experiences/help).

I entered the VIN of the donor vehicle manually for SDD to start with, and then the AAM, ACM and other entertainment system related modules all got green marks after device discovery. I altered the VIN_MODULE_RECORDSET.XML file of the present vehicle to match the WERS codes for the 2012+...

I have upgraded several other modules, I honestly don't think this is causing the problem that the AAM module is not discovered.

well yes it is a fully working SDD version which can download required files, but in offline mode. Aren't we all using more or less "tweaked" versions of SDD?

When I try to add a new amplifier it obviously shows the wrong calibration files. When I proceed it gives an error and says "Communication error". I think I have read that in 2012+ Discovery 4 the Sat Nav display module is the master of the entertainment system. After copying the relevant CCF...

Compared the CCF of a Range Rover sport that has the same amplifier fitted and adjusted CCF accordingly. Amplifier AUD4, Pemium Sound, Large center speaker etc. but the Amplifier doesn't show on the list of modules, red cross on the AAM on diagnostic page. There is RX TX light in the MOST bus...

ok, but SDD does not recognize the Amplifier for example, since the 2011 D4 did not had the separate amplifier. AAM is crossed out. How would I make SDD recognize the new module(s). I have changed the CCF in engineering mode and change the Entertainment System to Premium Audio, Amplifier AUD4...

How to go about retrofitting 2012+ modules to a 2011 Discovery 4? The VBF and XML files of the As-Built file obviously have the old hardware. Can you add a WERS entry in the .XML file for a non-existing module, then add the XML file back to the Zipped As-Built file and force SDD to load that...

no the immobilizer is the steering wheel lock module, the antenna module under the steering wheel and the KVM. Did you replace the battery of the key fob recetly?

yes I did. By the way, Infotainment and KVM are just working fine, it is just SDD that cannot communicate with any module on the MS_CAN.

hello, wondering if someone has a clue. Working on a Discovery 4 project. Using a working SDD and a working Mongoose, even tested with Gap IID, there is no way I get life in the Medium Speed CAN bus. all modules have a red cross through them. I printed out the MS CAN network from Topix and...

    Hello from Norway

haha well actually I'm Dutch but living in Norway, hence 'Dutchviking'. Once heard the "true" story (from a cab driver, hence must be true) why vikings tend to be blond... when they approached the shores of Holland with their ships the Dutch would erect enormous bonfires on the beaches making...
