    Leaky sunroof seals

Yeah I can see it’s a poor design, I can only assume the curved glass originally came from some old Leyland car and they just stuck with it into the Ford era. I’m reluctant to give up just yet. Can anyone with a twisty handle sunroof do me a favour and take a few close up photos of the seal...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Definitely want to keep it silver. Medium term plan is to swap out some of the vents and hinges for brushed ones and maybe even the bumper to go for a full heritage style look. Better photo here. Want to put some wolf wheels on it too but can’t decide between alpine white and body colour...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Greased the props, sprayed the tired black headlight surrounds body coloured (far from perfect but doesn't look too bad from a few metres away) and fitted a Nakatanenga heritage grill.

    Factory Coram Bottle Jack Issues

I've got a second had red Coram / Land Rover bottle jack - think it actually came off a Disco originally. Had to use it in anger this morning. Pumps up fine and the release valve works fine so it does the job. Is there a way of depressing it enough to get it out from under the axle without...

    A bargain for someone?

At least they've supplied a decent set of high res photos so you know what you're buying.

    Leaky sunroof seals

Hi all. My soggy sunroof woes continue. The hinges were knackered and not even screwed in properly, so I’ve replaced those. Easy enough job. I’ve also replaced the seal. I’m finding though that while I think it’s seated properly, the sunroof glass wants to ‘tuck’ in at the front, but sit on...

Buying a Puma / Roof Respray Cost?

Well I got it done, went for alpine white and couldn’t be happier. Had it done at RS Autos in Furness Vale. Thanks for the tip @lightning. Useful to know there’s a knowledgable body shop not too far from me. Going to get some wolf steelies next, I’m leaning towards body coloured but white...

    BFG tyres alternatives

I can't speak for MT tyres but I had Toyo Open Country's on my FL2 and they were brilliant for what I used them for - everyday road use and some mild green laning. Great tyres for the money.

    Serpentine belt and tensioner pulley

A new serpentine belt is 20 quid. I need to do mine as it squeaks a bit when cold - the instructions in the Haynes manual makes it seem very easy 20 min job, you don't need to replace the tensioner, you just need to remove it and reattach it. You can do it with the fan attached but it's a lot...

    Leaky sunroof seals

Hi all I have a 2007 Tdci 90 with what I assume is the factory fitted sunroof with the twist handle. The previous owner has gaffer taped it shut, presumably because it leaks. I'm taking the car to get its roof painted in a couple of weeks, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to ask them to...

    Tracker recommendations, please

AirTag is a great backup option - I’ve got one hidden in mine too - but not really a replacement for a proper tracker. Given how cheap they are though you’d be daft not to stash one away somewhere! Metal kills their range though so it’s a good idea to be creative about where you hide an AirTag.

    Tracker recommendations, please

The Thatcham rated trackers come in two flavours, S7 and S5. S5 being the more advanced. I recently had a 'SmarTrack' S7 tracker installed, no complaints from me though I haven't, and hopefully will never have to use it in anger. You can use the app to set up geofence and ignition...

    Tow Rope/cable

I haven't done that though have I. I've come to a forum in search of gaining a bit of information and basic knowledge from people with experience. Precisely because I don't want to do anything dangerous or daft, as I'm not a fecking moron. There's absolutely no need whatsoever for your...

    Tow Rope/cable

Here's a clearer photo of the back of my car. It's a genuine Land Rover part - it's got these rings attached to it, would it be safe to attach a bow shackle to these for recovery, or would I still be better off just attaching the loop of a tow strap directly to the tow ball? If not, I am...
