Yes! Just done it with the help of a better puller. Thanks to everyone here for the advice. It will have to come off again at some point because I need to buy an indicator cancelling ring. I thought there’d be one behind the Momo wheel but it just has two screws sticking out the back. See pic...

Here’s a pic of the wheel. I think there’s nowhere you could get a three-bolt puller onto this unless it was a special one that attached to the Momo holes. I bought this puller but the arms slip off before the wheel moves on the splines.

Yes that sounds like the same design. Maybe mine just needs more bashing.

Thanks. Yes there is a boss with the wheel bolted onto it. I took the wheel off the boss at first but then put it back to try to help me pull it off. But that didn’t help! I’ll add a picture tomorrow, it’s too dark now…

Thanks. Yes this one must have not had a lock washer for a good few years and the nut was done up very tight. I’ve got a 36 spline wheel from eBay.
