Just remembered I do have a fuel leak on the far right pipe at the fuel pump - someones done a DIY on the pipe in the past and now it leaks - would this cause the loss of power?
Just when I decide to sell - someone up theirs having a laugh!
Its like limp mode if I keep the hammer down it will eventually clear and accelerate like the turbo kicking in - if I change down gear it stays limp until revs pick up. If I pull over and restart the engine it does clear it 9 times...

MOT due in Feb but I'm going to pre MOT next month to see what's what.
I'm in Cornwall if anyone would like to take a look.
Open to sensible offers from genuine LR folk.
Cheers yes bled using crappy screw on top hose but will check levels again later and bleed again. At least the thermostat seems to have stopped bleeding!!
Not wishing to temp fate but I think I've done it!
Thanks for all the advice & Forest keep those biscuits dry!
One thing I have noticed is the temp gauge likes to rise & fall a bit quickly.
Chugging along flat and it's nearly tdc then power off going down hill it'll drop a quarter then up again...
So I tried fitting a jubilee but still leaking. Thermostat now ordered. I lost a lot of coolant over 5l while replacing the clip. Any pointers on minimising coolant loss when I replace the thermostat??

There has been a slight leak from top of the thermostat for a while - topping up every couple of weeks depending on use. I had a look and jiggled some pipes and thought you know what I'm going to get my local garage to do this one!
Local garage diagnosed new thermostat and...
.... actually I think I'm about to answer my own question in that I shouldn't have put oil in the housing & it should have been grease? ...& There isn't a top filling plug just the one square bolt plug for grease right?
Hi guys
I've just topped up the oil in the front swivel pin housings...not sure this has ever been done as each one took over half a litre. Slight issue is I topped up through the bottom level plug & not the top filling plug! Will this be an issue or can I sleep well tonight!
Thanks

Thanks Brown.
Checked yellow fuse but all ok, a little oil around ECU but nothing like there was before I replaced the injector harness. Although I do wonder if the damage was done & the oil haf seeped into the ECU.
