Right final update on my car for anyone with the same fault. Fitted a new map sensor and it's been sweet ever since I kept cleaning the old sensor but the fault would come back after a couple of days. New sensor working perfect :)

An extra update for anyone with the same problem. My car faulted again today!!! I worked the wastegate rod and made no difference so I pulled up again and removed the map sensor and sprayed brake cleaner into it to give it a good clean after that it ran perfect so must have been the map sensor...

After I did this last night it's been fine all day today and Iv done lots of miles so hopefully sorted.

That's a very good point I may just replace them anyway thanks for the advice. I done loads of miles in it today and it never missed a beat. I did have a bit of a tinker with a few bits yesterday. Fingers crossed.

Thanks will try carb cleaner I did take it off and just used high pressure from the airline.

Hi mate thanks for your reply i have done that i took the actuator off too and put it on the airline just to make sure that's working well too. The wastegate is really free but right at closed position if you put pressure on it a certain direction you can feel it trying to stick. If it sticks...
