I ordered yesterday (i needed it) a new compact drill machine and a left hand drill ...should do it

Not a lot of place to do that (i dont want to remove again the timing cover) but the bolt should not be tightened hard. I have to find a little drill...

It's already cut, in the middle of the treads ! You mean i should cut it like this and fill the hole with loctite and then with a RTV sealant ? that's it ?

After putting the timing cover back on, I tightened one of the water pump bolts (pictured) to 20Nm instead of 11Nm… and sure enough, it broke. It's a small bolt, not the long ones that go through the pump to the block. Should I leave it like that, since I have two bolts nearby, or should I take...

The oil pump gasket, not easy to find, is not a paper one, i think i can re use it...it's a bit plastic made.

I finally remove the front cover, the bolt was tightened correctly to 5O NM :mad:,do not need to crank the pulley... I need now to get new gaskets (oil pump and front cover) and reset again ...

Are you talking about this paper gasket ? (photo) I remember putting a light touch of hylomar to fix it in place, under the car, maybe it moved :confused: To be sure, I might fill the sump with another 4 liters to reach this seal level...before removing the sump again. But i can not understand...

i clean the sump (mud and water...) the filter, and new gasket. New oil filter with oil inside and tightened by hand.

No coolant yet...i will put a photo of the oil coming out from the oil cooler plate, it's oil mixed with microbubbles

Hi, Going forward with my rebuild (new cam and lifters) i'm stuck with my oil pump. I checked clearance and gasket thickness before setting. I tried to prime with an electric drill...without success. i have pressure on the oil cooler exit (i put a bypass valve) so i imagine the sump filter is...

News: when i open my bypass on oil cooler exit, i have oil coming out , emulsified oil... that means that there's an issue with oil ways ? oil can't exit from the pump? and something else i can't explain: no oil out at all from the pressure sender hole ! and no oil in the rockers . My head...

Good oil level...but pressure only in the oil cooler pipe...i put a bypass valve on it ...still no oil pressure in the block :rolleyes:

I'm ashamed...i use a 13mm socket instead a 12 mm (i was sure it was a 12mm...), so now the drill really crank the pump...and full of oil squirts from one of the 2 cooler pipe, probably the excess of oil (4 liters in excess) . Tomorrow i will get the good oil level and try to prime the pump...

I put 2 more liters , checked again the pump bolts; put some more oil in the cooler pipes (pictures)...and nothing ! Do i have an air gap somewhere after the pump ? Could i have an issue with the rocker arms ? If the oil is blocked somewhere, i should have resistance with the drill, i don't...

I bought a hydraulic gauge to check precisely the pressure...but still have to prime the pump before...

I already fill the filter before...
