So I managed to separate the motor from the wheel drive cable…. Opened it all up and now realise why there was a terrible noise everyone I used the motor. Looks like one of the magnets had come away and has slowly been burning out the armature. Also a few of the insulating tabs (?) had broken...

Thanks. Do you mean on the motor itself remove the back plate? Was trying to remove the wheelbox drive cable attached to the motor as per the green book. Perhaps will try the alternative. Only want to overhaul the motor 😕. Nothing is ever as easy as the green book suggests 😂

Afternoon all. Just tried to follow the green book and cannot seem to get the wiper motor removed. I can only get the wheel box drive cable so far then will not pull out any further? I’ve removed the union nut but can only pull the drive cable out so far. Wipers have been removed. All ideas...

Thanks for this. Yep that’s exactly how I’ve fitted it. Feels like when the rain is horizontal (as is normal among the Bristol Channel where I am!) it’ll continue to get through those eyelets. Might have to mock up a rubber patch and feed the rope through

Hi all Me again! Recently fitted canvas cover which has been great but during recent hard rain noticed that water is spraying in to the rear from the eyelet of the rear flap either side all over my new rear seats. 🫣 A minor inconvenience but wonder if there should be a rubber grommet or...

Whilst I’m here…anyone fitted canvas door cards? I’m thinking self tapping screws and small pilot holes through both canvas and door frame?

That’sa good point- I ignored the riveting point as wasnt part of their fitting instructions video. I did speak with them earlier today though and it seems to be an optional element- original was riveted but you see so many that aren’t. I think a strip of neoprene tape for extra peace of mind
