to get the lift pump primer to work, rotate the engine 1/4 of a turn then try the lift pump primer again. The lift pump is driven off the cam.

I'm just finishing a td to 200 tdi mod just thought id add that the oil cooler pipes from the td will fit onto the housing of the tdi oil filter housing. This is then able to reach the rad.... And i used the clutch from the Disco tdi onto the td gearbox... All works fine A small money saving...

lol..... some really funny answers there.... In my experience when i drive my landy i'm usually wearing rigger boots... To stop the drafts by ya feet just tuck your trousers into your boots... works a treat :welcome2:

Sounds like a thrust bearing going... now its failed.... Gearbox removal and new thrust. Would be worth changing the spigot and clutch whilst your in there.

It's not a bad job changing a clutch... From what i read everyone has there own way of doing it... I personally like to strip out the seats and seat box, remove the floor pan and tunnel. Then you can either take the transfer box off in situe or remove the gearbox and transfer box together using...

Shouldn't the pressure cap stop this from happening? Over pressure and the cap lifts.... A header tank should not explode??? Check the rating of your cap.. Just my thoughts...
