Range Rover l320 best all terrain rims and tires

AI said… Converting a Range Rover Sport with 285/35 R22 tires to steel rims and all-terrain (AT) tires involves a few key considerations. Steel rims are generally heavier and offer a different aesthetic compared to alloy wheels. Additionally, the 285/35 R22 tire size is a low-profile...

Range Rover l320 best all terrain rims and tires

You won’t find AT tyres in that size, so you need a reseller that can recommend steel rims that use the same bolt pattern and offset, and then get ATs to fit that steel rim (as I’m sure you know). I find Maxxis Razr ATs are excellent on wet and dry tarmac as well as wet mud.

    Hi Guys

Warm welcome Grumpy! Kenyan based guy here, but occasionally in the Cape area.

I realised I hadn’t added to this sub-forum, so hello from Kenya.

The 31st was a long and difficult day! It all started going wrong about 200m from the startline when we found numerous deep, deep luggas (dry water course, normally cut 5-6 feet down and across). Leaning at 45 degrees then made the engine cut out from fuel starvation, which in turn meant the...

Series 3 Door hinge shims 3D files

I was thinking of using these door hinges on my Disco but didn’t bother in the end. These would have been helpful, especially as you could ‘tune’ the thickness by altering them in one dimension. I need to get around to printing a Land Rover SVO badge too. Perhaps change it to SVK for...

    Aluminum shavings in the sump…

I should have left a gap between 'every' and 'one' there perhaps! 😁

    Aluminum shavings in the sump…

High pressure air Caboz, but you can’t be absolutely sure without blowing out everyone and checking.

    Aluminum shavings in the sump…

No idea, but those are big bits! You have to wonder how far the smaller bits have got. I'd take the oil filter off and cut it open to see what is in there first. It could tell you if it is worth opening up the engine further. My fingers are crossed for you.

I have been told…. Use Champions?

Thanks Kev. New NGKs are in, but didn't sort it. Nor did the Britpart new HT leads, however I'm looking forward to receiving some Magnecor reds this coming week. It seems a little strange but I think it was the alternator pulley going 'wobbly' and allowing the serpentine belt to ping off...

Disco 1 what shocks should i use?

I have fox dampers on the disco and they are very good as mention. Another vote for KYB as mid-price replacements, I have these on the (said quietly) landcruiser with the standard leaf springs. No complaints about them, even on Kenya’s demanding terrain. Probably worth saying the previous...

Alternator failed - how to safely continue driving

Yep, 160A is high, but that may be marketing. Unless you have a twin batt setup and a big winch, you won’t need that much.
