Found the problem. The seal on the reverse piston cover had swollen so that it didn't slid in smoothly. Identified when I clamped the cover to remove the circlip and could not compress the spring. Then it went in with a bang, like the gear change !! Hard to explain, but will try. First pic...

If you replaced both gearbox switches and the reverse needed washers to work correctly, maybe the 1st gear needs that also and is upsetting HDC if showing on all the time ??

My Icarsoft doesn't connect to SRS. Probably a connector under seat or the clock spring as you say but a proper code read will tell you which one.

HP pressure check again ??? The LP is certainly fine now. HP loom is evidently a weakness.

So you have the correct pressure now. Looks like the sensor is responding OK and shows higher pressure. Only other thing I can think of is a bad wire to the hp sensor. There is a replacement loom but you can check the resistance from sensor back to the engine ecu. Nothing else left !!

Worth repeating the lp sensor voltage tests to see if it is telling the truth now the pressure is correct.

That's really annoying. Did you clean the connections on the hp fuel rail pressure sensor and the lp one?

My experience is working original stat when up to temp is halfway, so vertical. Stat stuck open is about 1/4. Stat mod puts it back to 1/2.
