What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Replaced broken headlight mounting ring. Replaced dodgy multi-function switch - no more headlights randomly going dark! Replaced faulty electric window regulator & motor. While replacing the regulator, noticed one of the door hinges was broken :(

2007 Puma - P0404 EGR Valve Actuator Stuck Open

Just got this. I'm thinking it could be the cause of the other issues I've been having. I'm currently exploring alternatives.

Defender Puma 2.4 Dodgy speedo after new turbo fitted

Ok so it seems the sensor positioning is critical; the plunger needs to sit in the dip of the bit inside the transfer box or it won't work. Not easy to tell when fitting as you can't see very well, but a mirror gave me a clue. Sorted! Now just need to work on the boost issue when hot!

Defender Puma 2.4 Dodgy speedo after new turbo fitted

A replacement speed sensor arrived but before I fitted it I thought I'd try the original back in. This now also gives the same result - i.e. no speedo reading at all. I checked the connector and wiring, dirty but otherwise looks fine. Cleaned it and put it back - same issue. Any suggestions...

Defender Puma 2.4 Dodgy speedo after new turbo fitted

I recently replaced my Defender's turbo. Since then it's had an issue. When it gets hot the speedo goes mad when I accelerate, jumping about or dropping to zero. When it does this the boost also drops off, then back on, then off, etc. On advice I replaced the vehicle speed sensor, but either...

Disco 4 (LR4) (3.0 HSE) Fuel gauge fault

No codes from the EPB as such, but the instrumentation ECU gave the following 2 codes: B100D - Steering column lock plausibility U0128 - Lost Communication with Park Brake Control Module (PBCM) I'm guessing the fault is related to the second code.

Disco 4 (LR4) (3.0 HSE) Fuel gauge fault

I managed to clip a kerb while driving in Snowdonia at the weekend (Ok, I was looking at the scenery!) and the fuel gauge instantly stopped working. It just reads empty and I get the "Low fuel" warning. It has failed in the past but then come back to life. This time it seems to be more...

Puma 2.4 stuttering & weird speedo issue

Some have suggested elsewhere that this could be due to the wiring on top of the turbo not being seated correctly. Will have a look, if it stops raining!

Puma 2.4 stuttering & weird speedo issue

Hi all, I had a turbo underboost issue on my 2.4 and the turbo vanes had seized. I replaced the turbo which didn't cure the underboost (but needed doing anyway) but I started noticing a stuttering of the power when accelerating. Weirdly when the stuttering happens, the speedo also went haywire...

    Puma 2.4 Turbo issues

Thanks. I'll give that a try. I'll need to remove the AC condenser so I might as well just go ahead with it.
