What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Started making some seat risers today. I’ve the old style seat frames and seat box so the MUD ones don’t fit hence the DIY approach. Have to say though, MUD were most helpful on the phone.

DDS Metal Services - anyone used them?

Hi all. Has anyone used door skins from DDS Metal Services? They list the skins I need by they only sell to the trade so cannot get a price. I’m rebuilding my early 110 doors and stripped the skins of paint today. They’re very pitted and I’m looking for options, which are limited as they are...

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Test fit the roof today. Great to see the final shape. The sides are having a pair of windows fitted to the front so at least some of those dents will go.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

If you want I can take pictures of the factory routing tomorrow. I’m pretty sure the larger pipe is on the top.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

On mine there’s two W shaped clips, one each side, that clamp the two metal pipes to the back of the front x-member. It would be part 13 in this diagram.

    Where this bolt to then?

You’d think you would be able to see where it went, but I just don’t see where it goes

    Where this bolt to then?

This is a metal clip on the handbrake cable. Anyone care to suggest where it bolts to? I just can’t work out a good place for it. Cheers, Jim

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Painted the rims today. Also tried to replace the stupid Lucas diff switch. What a piece of cheap junk. Still doesn’t work and now I have two broken switches. Bah.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

I just did mine and took the expansion tank out. There’s enough pipe to leave it connected though. I ended up getting gas grips on the strut to get the bolts undone.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Glued and riveted the reconditioned subframe to the underside of the painted bonnet today, and then fitted on the 110. Also did an oil change on the front diff and ordered all the seals for the windscreen and vents.

    Wiring wipac woes.

I don’t have the correct crimper but I am good at soldering. I’ll get some replacement bullets and give them a go. In other news, my can of Maplin contact cleaner has made a hole in my new paint!! Grrr.

Windscreen seal - oem or genuine?

Allegedly. I’m sure that a lot of stuff marked OEM is just as crap as the rest too.

Windscreen seal - oem or genuine?

Do you guys use any sealant, either on the glass or on the frame? I’ve seen sikaflex mentioned, but I’m sure there wasn’t anything on the original.

    Wiring wipac woes.

Been wiring up the rear lights today and it’s not gone great. The all new Wipac lights re pretty low quality and one tail/stop light won’t even hold the bulb, plus the connector plate inside revolves so the contacts don’t line up. Those Lucas connectors are really c**p - what’s the go to...

Windscreen seal - oem or genuine?

Yeah and I’m quite worried about that. I want to do it myself but have never tried before. Seen lots of broken screens YouTube :-)

Windscreen seal - oem or genuine?

Got to put the windscreen back in soon and I’m looking at the seals. A genuine one is available for around £130 - can I get away with a non genuine one? Cheers
