Correct, strange concept and makes it particularly tricky to bleed but is possible with perseverance and the right tools. There is a way to link them up so the flexi goes to the bottom cylinder first and then to the top. Requires some more copper brake lines but a consideration.

Was the retaining piece correctly fitted and bolted to the clutch fork? Easy enough to replace and not too expensive if it's worn or not there.

Agree with Bobsticle above, I've found the nipples are loose especially with cheaper branded parts. Easy workaround is pressure bleeding or an vacuum type bleeder that drawers fluid out through the bleed nipple.

As a rough idea of time/money... I'm a mechanic by trade, full workshop facilities and free/cheap consumables and tooling. Budget was £5k and hoped to have it done in 8 months. Reality was over £10k and almost 14 months of evenings/weekends.

31st March 2022, I was contacted by the other customer who receiver my gearbox and visa versa. He is in a very similar position, cannot make contact with the seller, has been waiting months for his to arrive, etc. The gearbox I'm expecting is still with him in Whitby, despite the seller telling...

It's unlikely, the masters are easy enough to open and inspect, even just for interest rather than to fix. Does sound the like push rod isn't fully returning though.

Feel free to share or point others in this direction if they're considering buying from either of those companies.

Of course, like any jack it should be rated enough for the weight of the vehicle and regularly inspected but no reason why it wouldn't be safe to use. A large black of wood to take up of the gap and give the bottle jack a stable platform is also a good idea.

M8000 24v winch with steel wire rope. Solenoid pack isn't working but I've e bench tested the winch directly on the motor and runs in bother directions. I haven't investigated why the solenoid isn't working, could simply be loose wires. As per the pictures, paint is a little flaky but workable...
