Hi There any news on this ? My freelander has a sloppy gear change, I am having the gearbox replaced next week, but I thnk the sloppy gear change is a separate issue. For those interested the reason the gear box is being replaced is don to the fact mine doesn't stay in 2nd. Thanks in advance.

Have you checked the earth for the rear ? If all the electrics are out then that is where I would start, then there are I believe two fuses. Also you could try disconnectng the battery for 5 minutes, then reconnect, this apparently resets a a few things, it will definately try to lower the rear...
