Disco 2 Cheaply treat this invisible rust hidden deep in the door?

There’s loads of stuff available for coating which will help keep oxygen and moisture from reaching the surface. Waxoyl by Hammerrite has been around a long long while in the UK, it can be sprayed on like oil and then slowly sets as a semi hard wax, I expect most countries have something similar...

Disco 2 Cheaply treat this invisible rust hidden deep in the door?

Nothing new then, my RR doors were full of rust with the back doors perforated in parts when I sold it. Whats the yellow stuff? that looks as if its sprayed, and u can’t see daylight so thats good. So when I got my my disco I took the door cards off and sprayed in waxoyl, plus a few other...

    Disco 2 D2 water leaks

That depends on you to decide if sunroofs are worth it. My disco 1 is the first vehicle and the last to have sunroofs , at the time there wasn’t the option not to, but as it also has A/C there’s no need to open them other than once for a spring clean around the glass seal and a bit of lube. In...

3.5 hotwire efi won't start - solved, poor connection to coil -ve!

Opps and so it is. 😉☺️ Been a long day. My disco has two identical resistors which were taped to the coil but only one is used. There was a post on it years ago so i went out and had a look and found both, apparently there was an issue (may have been engine not running) and the exact resistor...

3.5 hotwire efi won't start - solved, poor connection to coil -ve!

Although I had a RR 3.5 flapper I didn’t know much about it as I didn’t have any issues and LR service it, but in my quest for knowledge I do have a Haynes Manual for the 3.5 RR I’ll have a look see first at the relevant wiring diagram. With my 3.9 Disco there’s a 12v supply from the ignition...

Discovery 1 300tdi Auto with air con - Winch bumper?

The reason possibly is when a winch is fitted the airflow would be restricted. Theres was a post a year or so from a owner of an auto whom was concerned about air flow so was looking for suggestions on rising the auto box oil cooler thats behind the grill higher, no mention of the AC condenser...

    Air flow sensor

You may or not be lucky, some times a superseded part number can mean just the part now has a different means of attachment. I expect it would be difficult to find what the differences were if any, even with the aid of Google.

    Air flow sensor

No, if its a Range Rover the 3.5 was “flapper” the 3.9 “hot wire”. For a D1, all EFIs were hot wire. but the 3.5 air flow sensor had a different part number to the 3.9 and then there was two part number changes to follow the last one being mid 1995. So for the D1 possibly not.🤔

    3.5 efi ignition issue

The solenoid clicks and it has its own issues with its contacts, if u can hear it in side the car, if your still using the original item. So from ignition switch to the relay I forget at the moment where it was but there was a relay under the bonnet that I removed some times for vehicle a...
