    Re touch advice

If you have white oxide coming through the paint, say on the bottoms of the doors, you can't stop the alloy from corroding, galvanic corrosion is unstoppable once it begins.

Stripping a roll bar for painting?

get it powder coated, Excel in Mildenhall are pretty cheap and do a hard wearing slightly textured finish that they do for a few off road parts companies and Safety Devices roll cages who are on the same estate.

RDX Blue LED switche are blinding me at night!!

Worse thing they could have done is have a stand at LRO, you get to see how cheap and flimsy their products are, RDX branded Defender headlight surrounds and grill are made from that plastic you get on a tray of Cadbury Fingers.

So the wife was asking me about a hotel to stay at in Marrakesh on the first day in Morocco, I suggested somewhere near the airport, as she flies back to the UK the next day, are you two, ken and Mike going to stay with us? Or have I got to come find you after I drop my wife off at the airport...

RDX Blue LED switche are blinding me at night!!

Bolt on bits, wont offer any help, useless on after care. Their Td5 rev counter is useless, phoned them, no real help, spoke to them at LRO show and they said, oh yeah the early ones weren't very good, we have a better one now and shrugged. I'll never buy another cheap bit of tat sold by them...

I flick through the Horizons site once in a while, Morocco doesn't seem to be any different than reports from last year, apart from that stuff about invading Ceuta, which is improbable. Home office site highlights in red which parts of the Western Sahara are dodgy, I haven't come across...

Getting a shine on the oily bits

If you want mirror finish, use a cotton wheel on a bench grinder with soap, well actually you need two cotton wheels, one is for removing nicks and smooths it out, the fine one is for polishing, but you get the idea.

    Road tax

300 Td5? Never mind, depends on if its a van style, commercial, double cab or a county station wagon? Station wagons will have a higher tax rate.

Thinking about swapping my 90 for a 110

I'd sell it with all the gear, easier to sell that way, then start again, or like I said buy one that's already been done to a high standard.

TD5 03 couple of oil leaks + water

Make sure its a genuine one, or a OEM pump, don't get a £15 special off eBay, as its something you want to fit and forget as they are fiddly to change over, OEM one is about £40
