Hi all, My 04 td5 normally fires on the button every time. Yesterday it seemed to struggle, but did fire up, I then drove it approximately 1/4 of a mile and it konked out and wont start!! It was like it's fuel supply was immediately cut. There is no oil in the ecu and I have fuel to the inlet...

Flex plate was fine mate.. It actually looked quite new as did the torque converter, the was no cracks anywhere. So hopefully get a few more miles out of it and then I might look at upgrading it to the heavier duty one.

OK I'll have a look now.. Is there any particular reason for using rubber other than it being a bit stiffer? I thought polybush kit was the way to go.. Cheers for replying guys

hi, I'm currently in the process of replacing the rear oil seal on my td5 auto on an 04. Having never done this on an auto before I was wondering what I need to know about removing and refitting the torque converter and drive plate. the gearbox is already off, if anyone could gie me any pointers...
