Put new plugs (gapped correctly), new distributor cap and rotor arm in mine, cleaned the AFM out with bicycle degreaser and hasn't missed a beat since. Used to be very embarassing when driving along and it started "hiccuping"...

Slacken kickdown cable off a couple of turns and test it. Trial and error, but my 3.9 is now behaving how I want. It changes up very early for good economy, but if I want to boot it you need to use the gears and drive it like a semi-auto ;)

Vin plate is the metal plate with the chassis number stamped into it. Should be one in the engine bay. It should also be stamped somewhere else underneath but can't remember where...

P plate 1976 isn't tax exempt - it's pre January 1973 for tax exemption. Seen a few like this knocking around, but strictly speaking it should be OK if it was done more than 7 years ago. If it's more recent then it should've been SVA'd, and in all probability be re-registered as a Q plate. If...

Before thinking about buying ANY vehicle, I always check out what honest John has to say. Honest John interesting what it says about Gaylanders, but equally scathing of any vehicle and lists most major factory recalls.
