    Disc shields

They make an awful row when they break away from the fixing bolts, mine was floating about rubbing on the disc.

    Fuel tank cradle

Pretty sure most Freelander owners need one just need to publicise the availability and price.

    Fuel tank cradle

Not sure how we go about putting our name Down for one but I'm certainly game. Perhaps asking for a deposit using Paypal or similar may be the way to go, any other suggestions most welcome.

    Disc shields

My O/S/F one broke away so I just pulled it off, will remove the other side prior to MOT.

And yet another badly corroded, sprayed with waxoil last year but will need replacing soon.

    Fuel consumption Poll

That's my norm on a Mway run even with a Synergy, mind you if I kept close to the legal limit it would almost certainly be better.:o

    Freelander, Rear Window Fault

Just a comment regards window regulator repair. The right hand cable on mine had started to breakup and the broken strands were stopping the window dropping more than a few inches, I bought a complete new regulator with motor for about £70 rather than faff about replacing the cables as I'd...

B'ham - Penzance on the 6th of august

We've been once for a five day break in a B&B, supposed to have flown both ways but fog on the way to Lands end so ended up on the Scillonian, never again as my Wife was sick, along with many others, all the way there. The aircraft from Lands end is only very small and they weigh all the...

B'ham - Penzance on the 6th of august

It doesn't. Either Skybus from Lands end when its not wet or misty or the Scillonian from PZ. Take your sick bag if you choose the sea crossing as the Scillonian is almost flat bottomed to allow it through the shallow passageways.

Strange oil leak under TD4 freelancer

If you have lost most of the lubricant there is a very good chance that the CV joint will overheat and seize, there are only three rollers unlike the usual CV joints. I think I would drop the rear drive train off and continue my journey on front wheel drive only.

Strange oil leak under TD4 freelancer

The CV joint grease in the front prop CV joint turns to a thickish oil and leaks from the rubber boot if split/holed. When I changed my VCU and bearings I stripped the CV joint down and found the grease had turned into oil, fortunately the boot was still ok so I just repacked with grease. New...

If you can't find the advice on here that your looking for Rover Rons website is full of useful info. There must be so much info relating to the K series engines and all the various modifications under the search button on this site that I'm pretty sure that you won't need to look elsewhere.

    Jatco auto box....is this true...

Sounds like the rev limiter which restricts to 3000 rpm when stationary.

Part no - inner rear door plastic cover

I was lucky as the original was still sticky enough to leave in place.

Buying a synergy unit and maf

Mines held in place at the side of the battery wrapped in a strong plastic bag. The only problem I found was the plug for the three position in cab switch can pull out of the synergy unit, since using Singvogels elastic band mod I've had no further problems :)

Part no - inner rear door plastic cover

Patched mine up with duct tape after fitting new regulator. Out of interest my toolbox and floor where always wet after heavy rain, new door and window seals had been fitted when I bought the car but still the damn thing leaked, turned out that the window wasn't touching the seal at the top of...
