    series 3 rear axle straps

Why bother fitting them ??? They are a left over from times of no internal limit stops in the dampers .....not needed these days AND more of a hindrance than a help (they werent continued to be fitted to Mili versions for no reason) Your average Squaddie ran out of traction long before they...

Series 3 Upgrading to Vaccumn/servo brakes

So you're not sure what you are doing BUT you want to work on your brakes.... Cool. Aaaanyway With a 2 1/4 diesel the butterfly in the inlet manifold has, to be set spot on OR you'll be getting lots of smoke AND not much vacuum... You'll be far better off with a electrical vac pump of a lesser...

    What makes it a "safari"?

Series 3 Advice on Overdrive operation

No need to disengage front prop at all.... To be fair on a wet muddy field you'd probably struggle to cause any damage with mismatched diffs (though I'd not recommend doing so) The whole don't drive in 4x4 on dry tarmac or the sky will fall, down is slightly misleading.... The worse Landrover...

    Series 3 Wiper motor.

Remove the lower dash corner and get to the tin cover (Held on with 3 screws from memory) then poke all the semi solid grease out of the gear box and wipe out as much as you can with solvent . Then try the motor again ....the grease tends to solidify and make things hard work . Failing that its...
