Looks like we're losing Lathkill Dale

Nothing to do with bloody glasses.... Everything to do with the internal workings of the Peak District it's National park status AND the power that certain none motorised access groups wield. The motorised access groups will always be in a minority compared to them... And frankly the behaviour...

Looks like we're losing Lathkill Dale

We HAVE been supporting them and we STILL lose them.... Our voices even added together are nothing compared to the weight of the RA/Land owners/etc etc. Sad as it is no amount of moaning. About it on forums etc will change it at all.

Looks like we're losing Lathkill Dale

Wont be long till all the lanes in the peaks are gone.... Protesting is a waste of time... There are far too many folks with enormous amounts of pressure to bear involved with the peaks authorities. Each time one closes it increases pressure on the rest and makes it easier to justify closing...

    Replace Fixed Side Windows

I never screw them in anymore ....just use Tigerflex/Sikaflex etc .... not a fab idea to drill holes through new glazing strip/door top to accelerate water ingress and rust ;-)

Galvanized chassis and perkins engine mounts

To be honest I'm not sure going with the Prima is "Future proofing" Tried buying Cam belts or Tensioner wheels lately ??? Supplies ARE starting to dry up AND IMHO the situation is only going to get worse as time goes on as demand falls . I'd be looking at going 200/300 TDI for parts...

    Missing instrument and wiper panel

Any series landrover heater is perfectly capable of shunting a goodly amount of heat out IF it's in good order and not filled with sludge ... The flattie in my station wagon will get it plenty toasty inside .... That said I know several folks on seriouslyseries that have fitted the T7's with...

Leafers at T'pit .....29/30/31 August 2015 ...at the NCM Wakefield Yorkshire

Well that's the list full to the brim folks .... Everyone that applied for a place SHOULD now have an email with either a camping number OR the option of going on the reserve list (We occasionally have a couple of folks drop out due to unforeseen circumstances etc ) All the places were...

    Play in swivel?

Big indicator for me would be the reduction on the application of the brakes .... Brakes on, locks movement in the wheel bearing and has no effect on the railko/swivels
  14. mistericeman

    Play in swivel?

IF the movement decreases with application of the brakes ... Then look at the bearings ... Railkos/Swivel bearings are unaffected by the brakes .

    Engines and gearboxes???

A well sorted 2 1/4 is a truly lovverly engine to drive ...AND with the addition of a Turner stage head is even better . IF fuel economy isn't an issue for you ... Either of the 2 FFR's with 2 1/4 petrol power will return @11mpg with the camping loaded sankey behind and the dogs on board ...
  19. mistericeman

    Engines and gearboxes???

I personally wouldn't bother de-tuboing a TDi.... It leaves them flaccid and very unpleasant to drive. IF You're not bothered by economy but want quiet original looking power... A well sorted 2 1/4 petrol with a Turner head. If you want power and economy TDi with 300 mounts and a proper...
