When I bought my trials tyres they fitted 235/85/16 by mistake. (I ordered 235/70/16) they looked huge. I cant imagine fitting taller than 70 without some trimming although the 235 width is a standard size

yes you need a relay and an inline fuse. I would wire it all direct from the battery, via the fuse and the only wire you need to scotchlock into is the main beam feed on the back of the headlight, take this to the coil of your relay, via a switch for isolation of the spots. w=IxV so your 2x 100...

I would say every 70,000 so do it now... its simple on this engine, I did mine recently.

I once did the brake bands in an Austin Princess, simple to do, so based on that, personaly, I would give it a go. Shame you're so far away, I would enjoy doing that...

you got the springs on the wrong sides.. Is it the twin leading shoe brake? if it is you do know that the adjusters have to go the same way as wheel rotation, Ive know someone turn the right hand wheel adjusters clockwise and this could lead to uneven braking..

Hang on... before you rewire it, you say you heard a clicking sound from the passenger side? well on a 200 TDi there are relays situated behind the plastic skins on the footwell sides, both drivers and passengers sides, my first thought is, Did you hear one of these relays playing silly...
