Just realised I can't do this Sunday, following weekend should be a goer tho, and will give us time to assemble a few folk.
Not sure if there are many lanes down TW way, so you may have to head towards Maidstone/medway.
Anyone else interested?
Hopefully it won't come to that. Did you cut the slot in the side of the drum?
I made an opening in the angled bit just above the flat face that bolts up, make three cuts and lever the piece of metal out with a crow bar. Make sure the slot is in between two of the studs and be careful not...
Make sure you thoroughly clean the whole area before undoing the seal retaining plate as the seal will come away with it and the housing will then be open to ****e getting in. Cover the gap with plastic bags whilst you clean up the retaining plate with a scraper or similar. It will be fiddly...

Might be able to make that day, where are you in Kent? Theres quite a few folks seem to be interested in Kent lanes at the moment, we might get a posse up:-)

Did the one through Oldbury wood on Sunday, fairly slippery and theres a nasty steep bit, need a detailed map to avoid taking a wrong turn as the byway is not very well marked. Most of the others in that area are average, unless theres been heavy rain for a while.

The selector shaft in the disco box is different and slightly shorter, meaning that the defender selector housing won't connect up to it. You can mAke an adapter but it would need to be machined on a lathe so mot easy
I got an advisory from the MOT man last year, 'Brake backplates corroded', after wondering WTF he was on about i looked and realised he meant the mudshields, which were all rusty and holed. Removed them, problem solved.
I hAd loose yolk problem last week, although symptoms were not quite the same as yours. Take out the rubber boot that covers both gearsticks, undo 4 bolts that hold gearstick turret and lift off. Yolk has an allen grub screw holding it to shaft, make sure its screwed tight into the hole in the...
