Hi, 1. might just be that you have dry rubber bushes on the suspension, best thing to do is get a can of wd40 and spray them, but be warned they are a pretty tight fit 2. dont realy know about that without seeing it, basicly it's a compression ignition engine, it should fire up straight...

Hi, could be the front anti roll bar droplinks, Its a known fault on these models, @ £30.00 on eBay for a pair, that includes 2 anti roll bar bushes if you need them. Best regards, Ian.

Hi, I had exactly the same problem with my 4.6, I spent quite some time over several days trying to find out what the problem was, It turned out that the uj's on the propshaft needed to be greased with a grease gun. Perfect now.

Thanks, I had a look at the connections at the back of the alternator, they seem pretty clean to me, I checked to make sure the terminals were tight, which they were, I will remove the wires and give everything a good clean and put it back together, thanks again for your help. Lockesboy.
