maybe the battery terminals need tightning up also follow the black wire from the battery and make sure it isnt a loose connection to the chassis ,remember always wire an amp to the ignition most amps have this feature ,normally - to - ,+ to + and a little bit of wire bridged fom + to ign on amp...

did u leave anything on overnight? if not your alturnator may be dead or your alarm may have been recieving signals from local interference all night and drained your batt as i have heard this before ,or maybe time for a new battery cheers and good luck

is there an equivilent cooler for a 4.0 p38 i can buy and install as the rr one seems to be infamous tryed everywhere for it ,model no esr 3204 need one asap!!! new or s/hand as long as it dont leak!!! cheers

cheers irishrover for that i feel more confident.i might be lucky with my cooler as seems quite accessible .its sitting right at the top so may just leave condenser bolted in and just take off the two top brackets which gives it some play to get the oil cooler out ,just to confirm the engine oil...

try manually undoing/unwinding your sunroof i think its in the rr manual how to do it ,as it may have stuck over time and by opening manually will get it moving then give it an oil ,if all fails try to see if power is getting to the roof or take switch off and touch the 2 wires inside switch...

hi all,well i couldnt get it into the garage today as he was packed so i set about diagnosing the leak,2 cans of holts later and it turned out to be the engine oil cooler the top skinny cooler , which leads me onto my next question for you experts... who actually stocks theese as i have rang...

does anyone know to what side of the main rad is the engine oil cooler is located,if your standing infront looking into engine bay is it to the right an the top with 2 silver hoses going in ,or is it to the left at the bottom with 2 silver hoses ,i have leak from the left of rad at bottom not...

thanks m8 for your advice but unfortunatly a spanner has been thrown in the works ,had a big oil leak today gutted just as it was all going good, is that normal with a range as its my first .im a vw man love 'em. cheers

was the battery terminals the correct way around,i.e + red ,-black to + red,- black i am an electrician and someone called me out before and it turned out that the actual wall double socket was wired the wrong way round in their garage they only found out when they plugged somthing into it...
