I just fed it thry the top of the dash with a cable rod to the ashtray hole, then poked it down thru the plastic grille to the radio (I used a stanley to cut a couple of slats out for ease :) )

Low Emission Zone (LEZ) - Exemption Rejected....PLEASE HELP!

If it has more than 8 PASSENGER seats, it will be classed as a minibus, the same reason that I removed one bench in mine to bring the seats down to my licence.

Anderson plug in blank air vent?!?

earth lead replacements mainly, just mark the ends so you know which is +ve, I use a bit of heat shrink, but a red tie wrap is just as good, or at a stretch red tape (tho it does come off) for jump leads just get the ones with red and black insulation on the clamps.

    Forward Facing Folding Rear Seats

a mate of mine had a couple of minibus folding seats in his, the ones designed to go over the wheel arch, seemed to fit ok, narrow but passable gap in the middle when 2 in use, integrated inertia belts. keep looking at one for mine.

    Denso, any good?

denso is OEM quality, been making motors/alternators (and dynamos) for years. no reason a cheaper one should be bad, many use new internals with old refurb casings.

    boost pins any good?

I'm sceptical of them myself, no one has been able to prove so far that they are any better than a pump tune. but timbertrail/morgan are the better pins, made out of decent steel. Heard reports/seen photos of cheaper ones seizing as they corrode, or a grove worn on them rather quickly, redering...

    Me no likey

Overall first impression, I like, only found one thing that's irritating, the little animated popup on the post previews, can it just pop up? Also pop up previews don't seem to work if your not logged it, not sure if that's on purpose, as you can still click on and view the threads. now I'm...

    What gave you the bug?

My dad had a S2 when i was born, till I was about 10, when he bought a S3, he only kept it 4 years and went onto cars, but I always wanted one. When I was younger, my cars were whatever I could get for £300 or less with an MOT, I'd run em for 12-18 months and scrap em. then came kids, so needed...

Cheers, will check the rod, got a slave spare, so might change that anyway. Wasnt a cheepo cheap, but not high end either, got a National clutch for it, after speaking to local friendly mechanics they came highly reccomended for a decent clutch without breaking the bank..

slipping clutch, but not convinced its the clutch.

any other suggestions? Defender 300tdi, clutch has done just over 20K. Its slipping, but not all the time, I drive up a steep hill home, and same gear/same speed at full throttle some days it will slip, other days it wont. its almost as though somethings not quite engaging fully, as its...
