Taking it for an mot today at 11.30.....fingers crossed...

Picked it up this evening drives and runs smoothly no over heating problem nice and responsive when I put my foot down.....sat in it outside my house ticking over for an hour no overheating nothing :cool:

I'll be ringing landrover specialist in Rockingham Northamptonshire :cool:

it's going to the garage to be done mate ....so hopefully all will go well.

Just had a look in the oil and the filler cap and mayo in it....and when I looked into the top of the engine it was also like mayop...headgasket maybe .....

HI.....As you may well no I was going to buy a freelander with a water problem.....but decided not to ... I'm now looking at a 53plate 1.8 petrol....failed it's mot on the lambda sensor is this a big job and will it cost alot of money....???

he's changed the bottle....no cracks in it.....oil cap clean dip stick clean no white mayo.

thank you for all your replies.....I've seen the freelander today and it looks like there is something missing off the cap....can someone please show me a picture of the reservoir cap if possible..

hi mate.....It is 1.8...yes....he only what's £200 for it.....would it be worth buying it and getting the work done.......:cool:

I'm going to look at a y reg Freelander on Sunday......but been told that it losses water through the water top of water resovir in the engine bay......can anyone please advise me on this.... many thanks..nigel

Hi how are you all......I was on here along while ago sadly had to sell my freelander.....

Well its been 1 full week since I got my freelander. .....What can i say it's runs and drives absolutely spot on. .....i don't know why i haven't got one sooner.....:cool:
