    ANTIFREEZE TYPE

Mine had the red stuff when I bought it. I just did a vehicle look up on The comma site and still the red stuff. Been in 3 years now with no problem. If you change the type you have to really flush out well as some can change to as thick gel when mixed which will bugger it up even quicker.....

    Bearings

Well everyone, my friend has finished the delrin bush and I am rather pleased with it. Obviously I still need to fit and I will report back but it looks good and only cost me the delrin off eBay. My friend did it for nothing. He's retired and was thankful of something to do. I might get him some...

    Help

Panic over.... I removed the pump and then remove the little pipe. Turns out there is an o ring that had gone hard. I replaced it and leak solved. I thought I'd fractured the pipe. Thanks

Thanks but no. I just spoke to James Martin and it's not a part you can buy. It's classed as part of the power steering pump

    Help

Just changed a power steering pipe and found that there is also another leak from the pump. Does anyone know the part number for the metal pipe that bolts to the underneath of the pump which the reservoir pipe attaches to? Or what it's called. 1995 300tdi Thanks

    Bearings

I agree, it is becoming more and more appealing for a delrin bush. Especially as I've just taken the original bearing apart to find it is one line of very small balls. The outer race is made of two halves of metal with rubber around then the outer bit you can see in the photo. So it's like a...

    Bearings

I guess it's not an angular contact bearing then as there is only one bearing and is held against a shoulder on the sleeve by bending the tabs over. There is no way of adjusting the preload. I used to have an old Austin car with a plastic Bush for the top bearing so it's totally feesable and my...

    Bearings

I believe it's an angular contact bearing? If you look closely the inner race is closer to the outer race on one side. When it spins you can see it spins of centre. More importantly it came up as an advisory on its MOT for lateral movement on the steering wheel. That Delkin looks like a...

It's off a 2004 Fiat Punto steering column(top bearing) Main stealer don't sell it, only the whole complete column for £650+vat! You are right, it is French but I can't read the other stuff. Measured by a bearing specialist with a caliper thing. I will try and get a closer photo.
