The main amp is in with the cd changer and sub unit, which is in the l/h side of the boot behind the carpeted panel.. There can also be an amp on each speaker.

Very rarely is it the actual head unit. The amp can be a pain in the arse, i would check the wiring to the back of the head unit first and check connections etc.. Also see what the previous owner was up too behind there. Then check the wiring on the amp and changer for connections and...

Have you checked the oil to make sure it isnt going into engine?? I would look in the footwells of car, sounds like you o-rings maybe leaking if you cant find anything under the bonnet... Also check how well your return line from radiator to top up bottle is sealed on the rad. As mine used...

Just replace the hose.. Its 5/8th oil line, I used rubber, you need about 2m and 8 hose clips. Use a disc cutter to cut off the lines behind the old compression fitting. Clean it all up, small amount of ptfe on the hard line, slide hose on and clamp.. Does a great job, looks fine and...

That hose should be attached to the MAP sensor... Map sensor lives on the side of the fuel filter.

You cant remap a diesel p38. Wrong chip type. Either tuning box or new chip.

Indeed, it is. An if you do some searching you will get all the details needed to have a uprated transmission in place. Or get a good refurbed gearbox.. Be wary of used boxes that arent refurbed..

I believe the box is zf4hp24eh.. Just get a used one from a reputable place, or better still, get a zf4hp24 late model and slot it in place....

Head unit uses two antennas hence the second connector. The 3 part connector you talk about is for the cd changer and amp in the boot. The connectors each carry differing signalsc to transfer power. Signals for the changer operation and also the sound signals.
