To be fair, on a 1990's car a bit of rust is acceptable an to be honest expected.. But, read a buyers guide on a Disco 2.. They are what, 1999 to 2003+, an it always says check the frame for rust.. Thats not acceptable.. There are now emergine markets for new Discovery frames.. Its...

I like P38's for some unknown reason. An having spent my fair share of times in the above, i would rather walk... Plus, 4K for a 1987 ****e box, no thanks.... AN a disco 2, dont even get me started. i dont feel that a 2000+ car should have to be inspected for rust when buying. Not just check the...

Im unsure of the dislike of larger tyres. Im looking at larger but not huge. An its for a reason which your a atar actually highlights. To get more clesrance under the diff. This will protect the vehicle an the ground your travelling over. Which is very important on grean lanes. The larver...

I want to lift the suspension to get bigger tyres in so I need the lift of the air springs. Although as the vehicle will basically be raised 1.5 - 2 constantly. It probably going to be better off on coils

Read an interesting post on Rangerovers.net. Suspension lift using original equipment air suspension. Use rear airbags on the front and use lift pucks at the back, extend the sensors.. Firstly, anyone got any idea how you would fit rear bags to the front?? If lift pucks were to be used...

Other option is utilising the available cabling within the original harness to raise the ECU's to a better location. Im not looking for a channel swimmer, but I dont like the placement of the ECU as it suffers whenever the carpet seems to get moist.. Assuming i go coil, then EAS ECU will...

Why dont you just use extended mountings for them?? Would be easier to just lower the sensors i would have thought. Alot seem to use some ally plate. Let me know about your lift blocks, might be interested in some if they are any good... Next issue will be relocating the BECM to the roof...

THat is exactly why i want to raise one, to get some larger tyres on it. In the static condition. As the diffs are relatively low really on standard size rubber. Where are you going to get the blocks for the air spring lift?? An where are these modified sensor arms available from, as i...

With regard to modifying the EAS, by fitting longer air springs and the longer shocks. WOuld you not therefore need to lengthen the sensor arms?? Also would the anti roll bars need extended Mounts??? Are you able to completely remap the EAS settings?? As im looking at running some large tyres...

Thanks DATA, yeah i have been researching for a while now. They mainly seem to go BIG coil and body lift!!! An usually try to get some sort of Ford or Chevy parts in there as well.. Scary stuff.. Data, do you know if the truck will still be street legal with a coil lift, as i dont remember...

Not quite, but Kudos points, you can have some more points if you engage low range to climb the kerb.. Glad you rocked up Wammers, i know your loathing for coil springs, but as im looking to build a offroad wagon. Do you happen to know who makes the best coil conversions?? If i have to do it...
