I would just like to say

Thank God I have a Defender today. Flooding is horrendous. Cars turning around to avoid floods, me driving straight through. Also I feel sorry for people with electric cars today.

Newer door on old 110- interchangeable locks???

Just be careful with SP4x4, their customer services are ****e, and the parts aren't well packaged. But yes, they are cheap, see if you can collect rather than deliver and you might get better service.

Newer door on old 110- interchangeable locks???

Firstly, the 2 part doors tend to be cheaper, not more expensive. Unless you are buying the MOD door tops, for some reason. I am not aware of any difference between the series 3 top and the early 110 door. Except hinges maybe. Which wouldnt affect you. I hate to suggest them, but have you spoken...

It's in a better condition than my Nintey, but then I wanted a project. My son just needed one he could go straight out...

I have personal dreams about fitting a V8. I keep looking at 3.5 V8 efi's on Ebay. But my wife would actually kill me, and then to spite me she'd scrap my Ninety.

Newer door on old 110- interchangeable locks???

It would be easier and look better if you changed both doors. Also I believe thrift handle door striker is different to the push button striker, I could be wrong, and if I am, someone will correct me.

    best spare wheel carrier?

It's all personnal preference. I personally see nothing wrong with the standard door mounted types, but some people say it's too much weight for the door. Mines been on 30 years and still has the original back door. Others go for the Mantec swing arm, that opens with the door, but puts less...

Your best bet for a proper job is a complete strip. If you don't your going to miss area that will just rust again later. The simplest way is to separate body from chassis.
