When I bought my 90, it had already been converted from a soft top to a van. The previous owner had done a DIY mat green paint job and had fitted modular steel wheels and Insa Turbos. Other than that it was standard, all the way down to the 19J engine.
The first thing I had to do was get rid of the scraps of carpet that the previous owner had used for mats and get proper Defender rubber mats. The foams for the front seats had disintegrated, so I got an Exmoor black vinyl retrim set and retrimmed and refoamed both front seats. Fitted a black vinyl cubby box and a Mountney steering wheel.
A few months later I bought and fitted some side panels with sliding side windows and a pair of Exmoor black vinyl forward facing rear seats, with inertia seat belts and proper Exmoor seat belt brackets.
Three weeks ago the Landy went into the garage to get the 19J swapped for a Disco 200tdi. What a difference! Either tomorrow or maybe Sunday, depending on weather, I will be fitting a new radiator and a Revotec electric fan.
Further future jobs, for when the weather improves, the side panels, which are currently white, will be getting painted green, the roof, which is green, will be getting painted white. Fit mud flaps. The front doors need a refurb. New door cards and a rear door card. Then I will be making my own headlining and rear side panel trim. The wheels need a refurb. Swap the Insas for Cooper AT3s. Fit a Disco Transfer box. Buy and fit a Drew Wright rubber matting system and finally get some reproduced 1989 County decals.
I'd like to think I can get all this done this summer, but we will have to see. I'll add photos of the Landys current state tomorrow.

So an update.
First fitted a set of black modulars with Cooper Discoverer AT3 2e5 85 R16 tyres. Very nice.
Then
Finally sorted the oil leak from the oil pipes. Swapped the connectors in the oil cooler for the old imperial types, and then fitted 19j cool pipes, sorted.
Fitted new front doors. Sprayed them myself in a tent on the back yard, olive drab Matt, suprised myself with the job. Happy.
Then took it to my local Landy expert and they fitted me new sills, the doors, new windscreen, all new door rubbers and seals, new hinges, new latches. Very nice job especially coz they got my gaps sorted. The doors fit lively, actually sound like they fit when you close the door and no leaks.

Still to do, fit mud flaps and my new rear step.
Just need me a garage so I can do a respray of the rest of the vehicle, and I need to leak proof the roof.
Then I just need headliner and rear window trim.

I'll post some pics of everything I've done once I've taken some.
