P38A EAS woes. I'm at the end of my tether

Arnott up front and Anschler bringing up the rear. 2 bottles of soapy water prepared and utilised. No leaks at the bags or connections. Dicky height sensor might be a solid shout. I'll have to plug in and check the raw sensor values at each height.

Also, the same corner drops within 1 second. The moment the engine stops running and the key is unplugged, then it drops.

P38A EAS woes. I'm at the end of my tether

Just been out and unplugged the relay. I'll update very shortly. I used the X8R rebuild kit. The diaphragm was changed at the same time. I will go ahead and check any leaks from the silencer though as I can't find any around the system. A couple of diagnosing false starts have made me be a...

P38A EAS woes. I'm at the end of my tether

I won't fully get on my soap box but I'm very very sad. Day 1- Near constant running compressor Day 2- Leak identified in rear offside bag Day 3- All 4 bags changed Day 4- Near constant running compressor Day 5- Leak found at valve block Day 6- Kicked myself for not checking entire system...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Finished up another long day of driving and let the wife take this on the last leg. This is the onboard computer score, obviously. I have a PSI box installed and so this isn't true to life. I have just sat down with pen and paper and worked out an average of 35.74mpg. I don't think that's too...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Completed a 570 mile journey from Aberdeen to London. Computer says 38.7 mpg but I know this is just folly! I started a brim to brim but haven't brimmed up in London yet as the 7 year old daughter needed bed after a long run. I'll update tomorrow after a fill up. She ran beautifully though at a...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I'm almost there thanks to the helpful tips so far. Annoyingly I can only get highway height to 46cm from axle to arch and then anything lower than that throws a fault. I'm vexed. Rita wins for today.

I'll keep trying. Thank you Datatek.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Carried on my argument with the EAS ECU. I'm getting closer to a resolution and will actually post what's what when life settles down. Currently I have all 4 corners down to roughly where they need to be. I log the settings to the ECU, close the software and every single time..... Without...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I read that somewhere and so that was my first guess but even if I change by one value it doesn't hold. Maybe it'll sort itself soon

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I argued with my EAS for a long time. Using EAS Unlock I managed to change the heights. I watched the change. I measured the change. I then tried a little fine tuning of the heights and now nothing. The EAS heights aren't changing in the software. They just revert to the heights I set initially...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Changed out yet another front ABS sensor. I'm starting to think there may be power spikes from the ECU. That's 3 in 3 months!

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I do love attention to detail, Datatek. If it was the battery, I would have thought you'd have seen warning signs but this was a very sudden 'all lights off and nobody home' thing. I've just realised I've hijacked the thread with this and so will do a basic write up on a separate thread once...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Unfortunately the battery is almost brand new as it is and holds it's charge. I'm thinking earthing issue or loose battery connection (I pinched up the positive terminal after the second instance and so will see if that cures it).

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Spent a few hours chasing electrical problems that I haven't been able to pin down yet. P38 2.5 DT auto 1999. So sad. Why does she hurt me so? Started up fine. School run. Back in and internal lights all flash up at once and all go off. No power getting to anything. Checked battery voltage and...

    P38A Missing air con tensioner

I've got the correct belt but no tensioner. What Wammers has said makes a lot of sense though and so I'll check all the components first before getting too excited.

    P38A Missing air con tensioner

Thanks Brian, that's entirely what is missing from my car! I'll contact the local breakers today and see if they have one.

    P38A Missing air con tensioner

Evening gents, I thought I would update on the entertainment of Rita the Rangie... After finding a bent open engine thermostat , me and my friend looked in to all possible further issues that we could think of. My friend is a bit of a Range Rover guru and so knows at least some of what Wammers...
